When It Comes to Good Health, Vitamin D Delivers

When It Comes to Good Health, Vitamin D Delivers

(NaturalNews) Ignored for years, today vitamin D is a superstar. Here`s what you need to know about this vitally important nutrient, including how to make certain you`re getting enough vitamin D to protect your health.

According to conventional wisdom, we should be wary of anything that sounds too good to be true. But vitamin D is shaping up as an exception to that rule. Although it was discovered nearly 100 years ago, vitamin D was long believed to have only one important role, maintaining healthy bones. As a result, it was added to milk in the 1930s, as a way to combat the high incidence of rickets in children and then pretty much forgotten.

How things change! During the past decade, a steady stream of news from researchers all over the world is proving that vitamin D helps protect us against such serious health concerns as cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disorders, several types of cancer (including breast, colon and prostate), diabetes, emotional difficulties, such as depression and bipolar disorder, muscle function and gum health.

A conspiracy of silence about swine flu and vitamin D

Setting the people up to die: A conspiracy of silence about swine flu natural remedies by Mike Adams the Health Ranger

(NaturalNews) It's emblazoned across the front page of USA Today, just underneath a subhead declaring Michael Jackson was, indeed, killed by a drug overdose: "Flu could infect half of USA." The article goes on to describe the predicted number of deaths expected in the U.S. (30,000 - 90,000 Americans) as well as the actions being taken by the government to protect Americans from the coming swine flu pandemic.

That advice reads sort of like a comic book of health care advice for kindergarteners: Wash your hands, cover your mouth if you cough and let "the grownups" take care of the rest by injecting you with a vaccine. Curiously absent from all the health advice being handed out on the swine flu by the White House, the CDC, the WHO and even the FDA is any mention of Vitamin D or other natural remedies that offer enormous protections from influenza infections.

Swine Flu Staged? H1N1 Patent filed in 2007!!

This is indeed mind blowing -

URGENT - H1N1 Vaccine Patent Filed (2007) Long Before the Swine Flue Virus Was Spread!
by Walter Burien

The following link shows that the original application was filed by BAXTER on 28 August 2007.

Start off by clicking US Patent Application Info Retrieval . Type in the verification code and when you get to the search page make sure "Application number" is checked off and in the search field fill in the application number as: 60/966,724

When it opens the page, Click on the Tab "Image File Wrapper" then select "Specifications" and go to page "13" of the specifications. Here you will see the virus references to the H1N1 viruses as noted above and it did so on 28 August 2007, long before the virus was promoted as a "New and Deadly Strain" morphed out of a pig farm in Mexico end of April 2009.

And yes the the Swine Flu virus H1N1 is listed "with many others" as copied from the Patent Application here at: [0056] "A vaccine can be used e.g. for an injection as a prophylactic means against a virus associated disease. In particular preferred embodiments the composition or vaccine comprises more than one antigen, e.g. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8, in particular of different virus strains, subtypes or types such as influenza A and influenza B, in particular selected from of one or more of the human H1N1, H2N2, H3N2, H5N1, H7N7, H1N2, H9N2, H7N2, H7N3, H10N7 subtypes, of the pig flu H1N1, H1N2, H3N1 and H3N2 subtypes, of the dog or horse flu H7N7, H3N8 subtypes or of the avian H5N1, H7N2, H1N7, H7N3, H13N6, H5N9, H11N6, H3N8, H9N2, H5N2, H4N8, H10N7, H2N2, H8N4, H14N5, H6N5, H12N5 subtypes. "

And finally, here is the US PATENT link.

Swine Flu - H1N1 - INDIA FOCUS | PROTECT YOURSELF with just 25 Rupees!

The H1N1 virus seems to strike Indian doctors, pharmacists, poor or rich including NRIs, from a 4-yr to 80-yr old !

Lets cut to the chase !
The Best Defense costs next to nothing! Especially in India, a measly 25 Rupees can provide you year round protection! And its readily available in most hospitals! Yet you wont hear about it much. Do you really expect Mainstream Media or Big Pharma to tell you? Ethics will eventually win though. How many more lives have to be lost till then?

This post covers 4 main issues:
1) Tamiflu and its adverse reactions including death;
2) H1N1 Tests that seem to give far too many FALSE Positive results;
3) The Best Defense for Flu .... and it costs next to nothing;
4) Vaccines that are coming may be more dangerous than the flu itself;

Though this post is India centric, I believe it would equally apply anywhere in the H1N1 stricken world. Here's a brief (bit long but needed) on 'educating and protecting' oneself, children, family and friends:

1) Tamiflu (Oseltamivir), the current drug of choice for prevention and treatment of Swine Flu (H1N1) can have severe SIDE EFFECTS and Adverse reactions, including DEATH.
Also read
Swine Flu: TAMIFLU, the Danger Drug, read ratings and feedback from patients who took Tamiflu.... and make an informed decision.

2) The Tests being used to diagnose H1N1 are giving far too many false POSITIVE results. According to WHO, the new rRT-PCR "rapid" testing method, being used, only provides a "presumptive positive" rather than a "definitive positive" result for H1N1 influenza. Read 'Unreliable Swine Flu Test Leaves Doubt - The Melbourne Age - Those tested 'POSITIVE' for swine flu are being administered Tamiflu and may be in for more serious consequences. So beware!

3) THE BEST DEFENSE FOR SWINE or any flu is to strengthen our Immune System year round. And Vitamin D3 apparently does that! Unlike here in the US where (2000 IU, 5000 IU, 50,000 IU) over-the-counter capsules are available, its not so in India. Luckily, vitamin D3 “Arachitol” (Cholecalciferol) injections in 7.5mg (300,000 IU) and 15 mg (600,000 IU) are available on prescription at most hospitals in India and doses of 100,000–300,000 IU have been administered intramuscularly 6-monthly or once-yearly quite safely.

A single therapeutic annual intramuscular injection of 600,000 IU (15mg) cholecalciferol is currently being used to treat vitamin D deficiency in India and Canada, and its safety has previously been evaluated. Read this research on Annual intramuscular injection of a megadose of cholecalciferol for treatment of vitamin D deficiency: efficacy and safety data

Dr. John Jacob Cannell MD states "As I weigh 220 pounds (100 kg), I would take 200,000 IU per day for seven days if I thought I had an infection with a 1918-like influenza virus."
That's 1,400,000 IU
or about equivalent to two Injections of Arachitol 15mg (600,000IU). And I believe each injection costs a measly Rs.25/- ! Everyone can easily afford it!

My 25(OH)D test resulted a dangerously low of 12.2 ng/ml on 27th March of this year. Over the following 8 weeks, I consumed a total 2,260,000 IU over 56 days averaging daily to about 40,000 IU ! My subsequent test result (in June) was 239 ng/ml ! Its high when one considers the normal range between 32-100 ng/ml and some may even call this toxic!! Truth is, I have never felt any better than now!

Canada is seriously examining Vitamin D for swine flu protection. Before long, the world will wake up to D3. Can INDIA lead the way? They sure can, if politicians, health care practitioners, pharmaceutical companies and other 'interested' parties place ETHICS before PROFITS.

Technically not a "vitamin", Vitamin D is in a class by itself. Its metabolic product, calcitriol, is actually a secosteroid hormone that targets over 2000 genes in the human body. Current research has implicated Vitamin D deficiency as a major factor in the pathology of at least 17 varieties of cancer as well as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, depression, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, birth defects, periodontal disease, and more.

No wonder, its either Vitamin D3 or Disease, Disability and Death...you choose!

D3 is FREELY available from the Sun too! However, research has shown that many people from 'sunny' India, Africa, Australia or Middle East are Vitamin D deficient. Plus the current normal range is itself questionable. Levels should be above 50 ng/ml year-round, in both children and adults, according to Vitamin D Council. Ever wondered why young children and older people get the flu more and why mostly in winter or rainy seasons? Take a Vitamin D3 blood test 25-hydroxyvitamin D test, also called a 25(OH)D and convince yourself. Click here to know which is the correct test.

There are numerous research papers and findings but somehow the $Trillion health care industry prefers to keep it under wraps for obvious reasons. I just read Roche, mfrs of Tamiflu will make 2 billion pounds (10,000 crores) this year on this Tamiflu alone!

So, protect yourself through D3 (Cholecalciferol) as it even moderates the immune system from cytokine storms. Question everything, Do your own research thoroughly and take action. You may save your life and others around you!

4) VACCINES COMING: Educate Yourself BEFORE getting VACCINATED. Read "Vaccine may be more dangerous than the swine flu" by Dr. Russel Blaylock. It appears 'The new swine flu vaccines are being made with novel, oil-based adjuvants which have been linked in the past with severe long-term neurological and other adverse health effects. These vaccines are not being properly tested and in fact, the vaccine manufacturers have been indemnified against litigation so even if you or your child has a bad reaction, the company that made and profited from the shots will not be held responsible - morally, ethically or financially'. Download Swine Flu Fact Sheet and do your own Research at Pandemic Flu online, an association of professionals and health freedom advocates. Do look into their Community Tool Box where you will find fliers, brochures, legal documents, and more to help you in your community efforts to raise awareness. Natural Solutions Foundation talks about natural antivirals here.

A recent story on the dead monkey kidneys being used in flu vaccines shocked a lot of people. Lots of questions have been raised, so some of the more common concerns in a follow-up commentary are published here.

Kindly note this is a serious subject and I have no personal interest or motive other than to help spread 'ethical' word among my friends and associates in the community on how to protect oneself affordably AND effectively.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

The Calling!

Heres an updated version of The Big Picture. There's a link under SIDE BAR - Alerts under the title The Calling.

Found this video post here.

In March 2009 I (Max Igan) was approached to create a combined and summarized version of "The Big Picture", "Fight the NWO With Global Non Compliance" and "NWO The Final Solution".

The aim was to condense all 3 films into a one hour solution based production that would appeal to a wider audience and be suitable for television.

This film is the result.

Along with some new material, this film contains 2 complete chapters of "The Big Picture - Final Cut" that remain virtually unchanged. This has not been done to 'recycle' old material but simply because the information contained within these chapters was relevant and needed to be included.

Should some people you know still remain blind to the urgency of the world situation and to their need to be informed and to act upon such information, it is my sincere hope that this film may help you to open their eyes. - Max Igan

Vitamin D3 or Disease, Disability and Death!

The high rate of natural production of vitamin D3 cholecalciferol (pronounced cho·le·cal·ci·fer·ol) in the skin is the single most important fact every person should know about vitamin D—a fact that has profound implications for the natural human condition.
Technically not a "vitamin," vitamin D is in a class by itself. Its metabolic product, calcitriol, is actually a secosteroid hormone that targets over 2000 genes (about 10% of the human genome) in the human body. Current research has implicated vitamin D deficiency as a major factor in the pathology of at least 17 varieties of cancer as well as heart disease, stroke, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, depression, chronic pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, muscle wasting, birth defects, periodontal disease, and more.
Vitamin D's influence on key biological functions vital to one's health and well-being mandates that vitamin D no longer be ignored by the health care industry nor by individuals striving to achieve and maintain a greater state of health. As you will see from further reading below, its either Vitamin D3 or Disease, Disability and Death...you choose!
What is Vitamin D3? It is a high-quality Vitamin D 'natural' supplement. The most important thing to keep in mind if you opt for oral supplementation is that you only want to supplement with natural vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), which is human vitamin D. Do not use the synthetic and highly inferior vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol).
This is typically prescribed by many well intentioned doctors who seek to take advantage of a patient’s prescription coverage. Unfortunately this form is FAR more expensive than the real vitamin D3, which is one of the least expensive vitamins we have. But more importantly it does not work nearly as well as D3 and can actually block the real D3 from working properly.
Bottom line: Use vitamin 'D3' when supplementing.
How much Vitamin D3 do I need?
Because everyone's situation is either a lot, or at least a little, different. How much vitamin D you need varies with age, body weight, percent of body fat, latitude, skin coloration, season of the year, use of sunblock, individual variation in sun exposure, and—probably—how ill you are. As a general rule, old people need more than young people, big people need more that little people, fat people need more than skinny people, northern people need more than southern people, dark-skinned people need more than fair skinned people, winter people need more than summer people, sunblock lovers need more than sunblock haters, sun-phobes need more than sun worshipers, and ill people may need more than well people.
Generally speaking, in todays 'modern' world most stay and work indoors and even if they go out, they use sun-screens and wash off the sweat upon their return with soap! So its no wonder high levels of Vitamin D deficiency have been reported from Sunny California to countries like Saudi Arabia and India.
Several food sources of vitamin D are listed in Table 1.

**DV = Daily Value. DVs were developed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to help consumers compare the nutrient contents of products within the context of a total diet. The DV for vitamin D is 400 IU for adults and children age 4 and older. Food labels, however, are not required to list vitamin D content unless a food has been fortified with this nutrient. Foods providing 20% or more of the DV are considered to be high sources of a nutrient.
A recent BlogHigh-Dose Vitamin D” by Dr. William Davis is a must-read to allay any fears of dosage. Here's an interesting excerpt from his article..'Though needs vary widely, the majority of men require 6000 units per day, women 5000 units per day. Only then do most men and women achieve what I'd define as desirable: 60-70 ng/ml 25-hydroxy vitamin D blood level.' Based on this recommendation, you can clearly see milk or other foods listed above DO NOT even come close to the required units per day. Taking a supplement becomes essential to prevent disease, disability & death.
Recommended Dosage Chart: ( Also read Important Update on Vitamin D”)
Children
International Units (IU) per day
Under the age of two
1,000 IU per day
Over the age of two
2,000 IU per day

Adults and Adolescents weighing:

Between 80 pounds and 130 pounds Start with
3,000 IU per day
Over 130 pounds but less than 170 pounds
4,000 IU per day
Over 170 pounds
5,000 IU per day

Dosage and Use

Take one capsule daily with a fat-based, low fiber meal. Be sure to eat spinach with your vitamin D. To work properly, vitamin D needs magnesium, vitamin K, zinc, and probably boron. Even if a complete vitamin D3 supplement with all these co-factors becomes available, you can save some money by just eating spinach every day.
How do I test for Vitamin D?
The only blood test that can diagnose vitamin D deficiency is a 25-hydroxy-vitamin D [25(OH)D]. Have your doctor order your 25-hydroxy-vitamin D blood test. Then adjust your dose so your 25(OH)D level is between 50 and 70 ng/ml, summer and winter. These are conservative dosage recommendations. Most people who avoid the sun—and virtually all dark-skinned people—will have to increase their dose once they find their blood level is still low, even after two months of the above dosage, especially in the winter.
Does it matter what reference lab my doctor uses or where I choose to do the test?
Yes, it might make a huge difference. A number of methods exist to measure 25(OH)D in commercial labs. The two most common are mass spectrometry and a chemiluminescence method, Liaison. The first, mass spectrometry, is highly accurate in the hands of experienced technicians given enough time to do the test properly. However, in the hands of a normally trained technician at a commercial reference lab overwhelmed with 25(OH)D tests, it may give falsely elevated readings, that is, it tells you are ok when in fact you are vitamin D deficient. The second method, Liaison, was recently developed and is the most accurate of the screening, high throughput, methods; LabCorp uses it.
What is the minimum acceptable level of 25(OH)D?
Thanks to Bruce Hollis, Robert Heaney, Neil Binkley, and others, we now know the minimal acceptable level. It is 50 ng/ml. In a recent study, Heaney, et al enlarged on Bruce Hollis's seminal work by analyzing five studies in which both the parent compound, cholecalciferol, and 25(OH)D levels were measured. It turn out that the body does not reliably begin storing the parent compound (cholecalciferol) in fat and muscle tissue until 25(OH)D levels get above 50 ng/ml. The average person starts to store cholecalciferol at 40 ng/ml, but at 50 ng/ml, virtually everyone begins to store it for future use. That is, at levels below 50 ng/ml, the body is usually using up the vitamin D as fast as you make it or take it, indicating chronic substrate starvation, not a good thing. Get your levels above 50 ng/ml, year around.
Caution
Individuals consuming more than 2,000 IU/day of vitamin D (from diet and supplements) should periodically obtain a serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D measurement. Toxicity is very unlikely in healthy individuals at a dose of less than 10,000 IU/day. Vitamin D supplementation is contraindicated in individuals with hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels). People with kidney disease, certain medical conditions (such as hyperparathyroidism, lymphoma, sarcoidosis), and those who use cardiac glycosides (digoxin) or thiazide diurectics should consult a physician before using supplemental vitamin D. For those in the winter with no or very limited exposure to sunshine, 4,000-5,000 units per day is appropriate for most adults. If you are very heavy you may need to double that dose, and for children the dose can be half that. The key, though, is to make sure you monitor your vitamin D levels by blood testing.
Useful TIPS:
Anyone tested with high blood glucose, high triglycerides, low HDL should do the blood test
Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy, also called, "25-hydroxy-vitamin D blood test". And here's why ....

Vitamin D deficiency linked to high triglycerides

Vitamin D deficiency may raise people's risk of having elevated triglyceride levels, US research suggests. The analysis of the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination, the results of which appear in the Archives of Internal Medicine, also showed that people with vitamin D deficiency were likely to have hypertension, diabetes, and obesity. All four conditions are components of the metabolic syndrome, as well as being important cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors in themselves. For more details click here or on the headline above.

Based on this recommendation, you can clearly see milk or other foods listed above DO NOT even come close to the required units per day. Taking a supplement becomes essential to prevent disease, disability & death.
